The rapidly increasing rate of children being diagnosed with ADHD, especially boys, in the United States should concern parents, teachers, therapists and doctors. The only conventionally recognized treatment to help these children is pharmaceutical medication. These medications are addicting and can result in long term changes to brain structure and function. Most importantly, they don't address the root cause of the issues these children are experiencing. There are many alternative options and steps that should be taken before even considering any pharmaceutical intervention.

Dr. Peirson has created these initial steps that we recommend you take to help your child while you wait for a new patient appointment with us.
