We see many patients in office and some travel from all over the world to see us. However, many parents are unable to travel to see us in person. We can still help! Through a video consulting appointment we can make thorough recommendations on how to optimize your child's health. We send a lot of research and educate families on why we make these recommendations so they can make the decision on how best to help their child.
We recommend you share this information with your local pediatrician and other members of their healthcare team to make sure they are aware of all healthcare choices you are making for your child. |

Just wanted to share that we had our annual IEP yesterday for (our son). We dread them every year because the team typically comes to us with behavior issues that (our son) has in the classroom. This year was a completely different story--the team is elated on how well (our son) is doing in the classroom. He is actively participating in his general ed classroom, seeking out friends (he's super shy so this is hard for him), no aversive behaviors the entire year (woo hoo!) and huge strides with his sensory avoidance issues. He's talking more, smiling more and according to his teacher is "an absolute pleasure to have in class". In fact, they removed his behavior plan from his IEP because it is NO LONGER needed!!! And while I recognize that the school has made some changes and educated their staff on best inclusive practices, I know deep down that he is finally getting the nutrients and thyroid assistance that his body has been sorely lacking all these years. Just wanted to share that what you do for our kiddos is lifechanging and so important. I know without getting his thyroid up to the right levels, he would still be struggling this year. Instead, he is thriving!! A million thanks to you for all your help:)!
Just wanted to give you an update on (our daughter). In 1 month of being on (the treatment):
1. Reflux (used to spit up half of whatever she ate) gone the first day.
2. First 2 teeth came in the first week, another 2 the 2nd week
3. Pulled herself to a standing position first day
4. Stood up without support 2nd week
5. Tongue is in her mouth 80% of the time rather than 20% of the time
6. Crawling (had just begun to bear crawl in August maybe 50 meters a day) now up to on average 300 meters a day of proper crawling
7. Curious (before just sat there) - dumps out the dog bowl once a day and pulls all books of the shelves - she's a royal pain :) we love it.
8. Was eating 3 x 6 oz. bottles plus 8 oz of baby food per day. In one month - eating 3 bottles +28 oz of baby food, but is slimmer
THANK YOU for understanding what she needed. You are an invaluable resource and we are so happy to have found you. Thank you!
Finally, I touched on some of the developments (our son) has had since we started the (treatment), but I thought you might appreciate a list :-).
-He picked up about 10 signs (only had 2or 3 before)
-Got better at drinking from his cup and eating...could manage to chew and handle many more foods than before
-Went from 2 to 1 nap a day
-Started using pincer grasp and being able to eat smaller things on his own
-More imitations of speech and gestures
-Waving hi and bye
-Sarted showing an interest in movement and trying to crawl
Amazing! Thank you so much!
Although she is still struggling with constipation (only going every 4ish days or so still), we've seen HUGE gross motor gains with her! Gross motor skills have always been the area in which she's struggled the most. She is climbing 4 stairs on a slide, positioning herself, and sliding down with enough core strength to be safe, INDEPENDENTLY!!!! I couldn't even get her to climb the stairs let alone complete the whole process of sliding! She has started coming down the stairs in our house safely which she's never been able to do before. She is walking over thresholds without stopping and crawling over them, walking longer distances, and navigating her environment much more easily and naturally. She is seriously a totally different child gross-motor wise! I can't get over how much she's changed in this area since starting nature-throid! I thought maybe it was just a developmental burst in gross motor skills but we've seen positive improvements in speech and interaction with her environment, and less fatigue!
Her therapists and teachers have all commented about what a change they've observed (none of them know she started this treatment either)! She is saying more words and using them appropriately, asking for things with words instead of crying/yelling, putting 2 and 3 words together, even! Prior to meds she had about 30 words but needed to be heavily prompted to use them. Her words are becoming clearer with a defined beginning and end sound and those unfamiliar with her are even understanding some of her words! I offered her some veggie straws the other day and she clearly said, "No! Want Cookie!" I almost cried. She was listening to music and it stopped playing. She asked for more and I told her to wait, she said to me very clearly "QUICK!" which is a new word too! Her teacher reported that she has recently started imitating other children in the classroom and initiating social interactions with them! I too have noticed she is much more aware of what's happening around her, and more interactive with her sisters. She's joining in their play activities instead of playing alone! Her aide reports that her time on task in school has greatly increased recently as well. At least 5 times every day since we started (treatment), I've said out loud, "I just can't believe this. It HAS to be the (treatment)!" And then I feel a bit guilty that we didn't do this sooner!!!!
!!! Too excited not to share! (Our son) FINALLY had a tooth come through. He's been missing 5 teeth. The last tooth he got was before my 9mo old was born!
He's grown 1/2 an inch too!
Also I actually noticed he had been spitting up a little once I really started to pay attention and now he hasn't but maybe twice in 3 weeks? He has had two colds an they were simply colds. Nothing else- not like the normal sinus infections and antibiotics that we normally have! Thank you thank you thank you!! Our sons health was being compromised and thanks to your help we are seeing our boy improve in so many ways. :)
"(My child) has become more alert, almost like the lights have come on. His speech has improved dramatically and he is engaging in play for longer - attention span seems to have increased, and his conceptual understanding is much better. (His) skin seems less yellow. "
"The amount of growth over the last few days is amazing and a little sad for this mom. I'm watching my daughter have a year's worth of development in a few days. I'm thrilled to see her develop and unlock the potential we knew was hidden away in that brain of hers."
14 yo boy: "I just wanted to let you know that (our son) started on all the supplements Wednesday evening and then Thursday morning. Amazing difference! Wednesday evening, he went to bed at 9 and slept until 6 without a peep! He actually completed his schoolwork on Wednesday and Thursday, which he hasn't done in a long time. While his attention is not back to where it was, it has improved as well. He is engaging in more eye contact and is very happy! It has been a long time since he's been so happy. We did give him the (sleep supplement) last night because he came home and took a nap right after school and thus was still awake at 11 p.m. It was very effective and he got up at 6, happy and not groggy at all."
