From Research to Clinical Practice

Is your doctor reading current research?  Are they relying on medical associations for published guidelines in order to guide their clinical decisions?  Are those decision makers reading current research?  How much of a role do pharmaceutical companies play in creating these guidelines?

These are all important questions to ask.  Most parents, patients and practitioners don't know the statistic that it takes on average 17 years for information and knowledge gained through research to be applied to clinical practice. (Brownson, et al, 2006)  When working to help children we don't have 17 years.  It's important that your doctor have their finger on the pulse of ongoing and newly published research.

Dr. Peirson does just that.  Not only does she see new research the day it's published, she's also in touch with researchers around the country and around the world, having conversations about the very biochemistry we're all trying to better understand.

We will be updating this research library often, adding new and older research that supports the work we do to help optimize the health of your child.  Use the links below or the links in the drop down menu to find studies that support the biomedical treatment of children with special needs.

Search the library by using crtl + f on your keyboard or use "find in page" on your mobile device.
